Having concluded the planning, designs and drawings, the next is execution. The site-level team shall oversee the execution part under the guidance and leadership of the General Manager (GM) for the Project.
As explained in the earlier section, as strategy, actual construction at the site shall always be managed by the General Contractor (GC) appointed for each Project. So, the question is the role to be played by the GM office to make this happen.
The GM office shall act as the bridge (Between Phoenix and GC) and the approving authority for all the actions to be taken by the GC at the site and not get into actual construction. So, from that perspective, it is more of creating the ecosystem at the site for the GC to perform and deliver the Project in the agreed timeline in accordance with their contractual obligations.
In the following section, some of the critical activities carried out by the GC office have been detailed to demonstrate the role's intent.
